Rhinoplasty cost

How much does rhinoplasty cost?

Typically $7,000 to $15,000 in the US.

Most patients in the US pay somewhere between $7,000 and $15,000 all in, and revision rhinoplasty can cost more than a first surgery. Rhinoplasty is one of the most technique-dependent procedures there is, so the surgeon's fee is a bigger share of the total than for most surgeries. The only real number is the one a surgeon gives you after examining your nose.

What changes the price

The surgeon

Rhinoplasty specialists charge more and revise less. Ask how many they do a year and to see their own before-and-after photos of noses like yours.

Open vs closed, and the work involved

A tip refinement is not the same surgery as a full reshaping with grafts. Revision cases take longer and cost more.

Breathing problems

If part of the surgery corrects breathing (a deviated septum, for example), that part may be covered by insurance. Ask the surgeon to separate the two.

Where you are

Major cities cost more. The same surgery differs by thousands between cities and far more between countries.

What a quote should include

  • Surgeon's fee
  • Anesthesia
  • Operating facility
  • Splint and dressings
  • Follow-up visits for the first year
  • Revision policy (ask: what happens if something needs correcting?)

Questions people ask

Why can't you just tell me my price?+

Because no two noses need the same work. A single number from a website is a guess. We can get you an estimate from a surgeon who will actually examine you.

Is the consultation free?+

Sometimes. Rhinoplasty specialists often charge a consultation fee, usually credited toward surgery. Ask when you book.

Does insurance cover rhinoplasty?+

Cosmetic changes are not covered. A functional part, such as a septoplasty for breathing, often is. Ask the surgeon to itemize.

Can I finance it?+

Most clinics offer third-party financing from a few hundred dollars a month.

Is it cheaper abroad?+

Often, and Turkey in particular does a very large volume. Add travel and recovery days, and make sure you can reach the surgeon afterwards.

What happens after I ask for an estimate?+

One clinic near you messages you first, by email or text, with an estimate and an offer of a consultation. No calls unless you ask for one. Only that clinic gets your details.
