BBL cost

How much does BBL cost?

Typically $8,000 to $15,000 in the US.

Most patients in the US pay somewhere between $8,000 and $15,000 all in. A BBL is two surgeries in one, liposuction from several areas plus fat transfer, so the number of areas treated moves the price more than anything. Safety matters more in a BBL than in almost any other cosmetic surgery, so the cheapest quote is rarely the one to take. The only real number is the one a surgeon gives you after seeing you.

What changes the price

How many areas are treated

Fat has to come from somewhere. Abdomen only costs less than abdomen, flanks, back and thighs.

The surgeon and the facility

Look for a board-certified plastic surgeon operating in an accredited facility who follows current BBL safety guidance on where fat is placed. Ask directly.

Anesthesia and time

A BBL is a long surgery under general anesthesia; anesthesia and facility time are a large share of the total.

Where you are

Miami does more BBLs than anywhere in the US and prices there range widely. The same surgery differs by thousands between cities.

What a quote should include

  • Surgeon's fee
  • Anesthesia
  • Operating facility
  • Compression garments
  • Lymphatic massage (sometimes)
  • Follow-up visits
  • Revision policy (ask: what happens if the result needs touching up?)

Questions people ask

Why can't you just tell me my price?+

Because it depends on how much fat you have to move, how many areas are treated and the surgeon you choose. We can get you an estimate from a surgeon who will actually see you.

Is the consultation free?+

Often. When there is a fee it is usually credited toward surgery.

Does insurance cover a BBL?+

No. It is cosmetic.

Can I finance it?+

Most clinics offer third-party financing from a few hundred dollars a month.

Is it cheaper abroad?+

Yes, and that is where many of the worst outcomes come from. If you go abroad, choose on the surgeon's safety record, not the price.

What happens after I ask for an estimate?+

One clinic near you messages you first, by email or text, with an estimate and an offer of a consultation. No calls unless you ask for one. Only that clinic gets your details.
